The GSRS holds meetings quarterly and alternate between a location in Stokes and Rockingham Counties. All meetings are held beginning at 2:30 pm and the board of directors meeting at 1:30 pm. Below is the schedule for the upcoming meetings:

Jul 12th Walnut Cove Public Library - Larry Cates will be speaking on "Documenting Rootless Younger Men in NC Without Property: Apprentices, Wanderers, Soldiers and Knaves: Finding Young, Unpropertied Men and Their Connections in the Antebellum and Colonial Periods."

Oct 11th Madison-Mayodan Public Library-
Carole Troxler will be speaking about Alamance and Colonial German immigration.

The Genealogical Fair meetings are held two times a year, once in Stokes and Rockingham Counties. The hours are from 10 am to 3 pm. We ask that everyone bring a covered dish to share for lunch, this way no one has to leave to get lunch.
